"Whimsical Yoga for Little Girls"

Unique and fun yoga poses and activities that are tailor-made for little girls. These can be included in playful yoga sessions to keep them engaged and active. Every pose had been designed to spark imagination, aligning with their energy and creativity.


1. Butterfly Pose

    Sit with your legs together and knees bent out. Begin flapping your legs like                    butterflies' wings.


2. Tree Pose

    Stand on one foot, lift the other onto the inner thigh or calf, and upraise your arms        like branches from the tree.


3. Cat-Cow Pose

     Kneeling, walk hands and knees, then arch back up and round it, cow to cat, repeat.


4. Child's Pose

     Move into kneeling and extend arms forward and forehead to the floor.


5. Downward Dog

     Prepare the body for an inverted "V" shape.

     Hold feet on the ground and hand on the ground.


6. Cobra Pose

      Lie on belly and press hands into floor; press chest up.


7. Star Pose

     Stand with feet wide apart and arms stretched out to each side, like a star.


8. Mountain Pose

     Stand tall with feet together and arms by sides.


9. Warrior I Pose

     Step back, bend front knee, and stretch arms up over head.


10. Warrior II Pose

        Like Warrior I but arms are fully extended out to the sides.



11. Boat Pose

        Sit on floor, legs lifted off ground, balancing on your sit bones.


12. Bridge Pose

        Lie on the back, bend the knees, and bring the hips up in an upward direction.


13. Happy Baby Pose

        Lie on the back. Reach down to grab the soles of your feet and rock side to side.


14. Mermaid Pose

        Sit on the floor with one leg bent in front and the other back behind you. Arch the          back forward and reach one arm overhead.


15. Fish Pose

        On the back, arching the chest upwards, place hands underneath hips.


16. Lion's Breath

        On knees, breathe in, breath out while tongue lolling out.


17. Crescent Moon Pose

        Stand together with the feet, reaching the arms up and overhead, bending to the            right hand side.


18. Seated Twist

        Sit with crossed legs; use one hand to place behind you and twist sideways.


19. Frog Pose

        Squat with feet flat, with knees apart, and hands holding the ground.


20. Eagle Pose

        Wrap one leg over the other and one arm under the other. Suspend as one would            with an eagle.


21. Lotus Pose

         Sit cross-legged with feet resting on opposite thighs.


22. Dancer's Pose

        Stand on one leg, grab the other foot behind you, and stretch the opposite arm                forward.


23. Rabbit Pose

        Sit on heels, tuck the chin, and curl forward so the top of the head touches the                mat.





24. Snake Pose

        Lie on the belly, lift the chest a little, and slither like a snake.


25. Elephant Pose

        Bend forward, clasp hands, and move swinging arms as an elephant would using            its trunk.


26. Starfish Relaxation

        Lie down on the back with arms and legs wide open, picturing in the sea like a                starfish.


27. Rainbow Pose

        Start in a kneeling position, stretch one arm and opposite leg up like forming a              rainbow.


28. Dog-Tail Wag

        In tabletop position, wag hips from side to side like a dog.


29. Flying Bird Pose  

        Stand with one leg back and arms stretched out like wings, balancing.


30. Sunflower Pose

        Arms stretch around the head and "planted" feet firmly, like a sunflower seedling          keeping tall under the sun.



These postures add sweet images to yoga; little girls enjoy easy, fun yoga exercises.
